In June 2022, Bluepha joined the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), becoming UNGC's first Chinese cutting-edge biotech company member. Together with other global partners, Bluepha will take action to protect the blue planet and promote a more sustainable future.

Joining UNGC is both an important measure and a serious commitment to Bluepha's sustainable development. Bluepha will continue to promote measures such as adopting renewable raw materials and the use of clean energy, optimizing production processes, to achieve Bluepha's CARBON GOAL of carbon peak by 2028 and carbon neutrality by 2050. In the future, Bluepha will strengthen cooperation with UNGC to keep providing sustainable solutions."
The sustainable commitment of Bluepha
In 2021, Bluepha started to introduce the environment, social and corporate governance (ESG) concept, and actively pursued win-win situations with stakeholders. The year 2022 is the first year of Bluepha's ESG implementation. With the aim of being responsible for both the environment and development, Bluepha makes the following sustainable development commitments:
Starting from 2022, promote energy-saving and verify greenhouse gas emissions for every site annually.
By 2025, complete factory greenhouse gas verification; complete carbon footprint verification for our first product Bluepha®; use 100% certified sustainable raw materials.
By 2028, achieve carbon peak for all office and production sites; industrial water used will be 100% recovered and recycled.
By 2050, achieve carbon neutrality for all office and production sites; all products will be manufactured by using renewable energy; waste generated by the plant will be 100% recycled.
Besides the above commitments, Bluepha will adhere to the 10 Principles of the UN Global Compact, take into account the fundamental responsibilities of business in the areas of labour, environment, anti-corruption, and integrate them into our strategy and business practice.
